Gyorko is out of the lineup Sunday against the Rockies, Jeff Sanders of the San Diego Union-Tribune reports.

Analysis:

Gyorko will finish with just one start in the three-game series, something that's beginning to become a recurring trend given his woeful .145/.230/.200 batting line. Those in deep or NL-only leagues are advised to stay patient with Gyorko and keep him on the bench until his bat comes around, but for at least the time being, Yangervis Solarte appears to have supplanted Gyorko as manager Bud Black's preferred second-base option.
