Analysis:

The Pirates have kept Polanco out of the starting lineup for the last two games -- though he was able to pinch-hit -- because of a sore left groin muscle. After batting mostly out of the second spot in the order, he'll bat first against the Cubs on Wednesday. Polanco went 2-for-3 with a double against starter Kyle Hendricks in Pittsburgh last week.
