Roark is being considered for Tuesday's start in place of Max Scherzer (thumb) after all, Chelsea Janes of the Washington Post reports.
Analysis:
He was originally ruled out as a candidate for the start, as he isn't stretched out for the rotation, but Nats manager Matt Williams mentioned Roark as a possibility on Monday. A.J. Cole could also be called up from Triple-A to take Scherzer's turn, however. The club is expected to make an official decision Monday night.
