3 things to watch this weekend: Mets look to make history in the Bronx
Storylines are starting to heat up and we're not even a month into the 2015 season.
From Alex Rodriguez and Matt Harvey, to the Kansas City Royals - the sport's newest bad boys - and Chicago White Sox following up an epic series opener with three more contests, this weekend has enough drama for everyone.
Subway Series
Cross-town rivals highlight weekend action on the diamond when the Mets and Yankees clash for three games in the Bronx. The MLB-best Mets, riding a franchise-high-tying 11-game winning streak, get a Yankees team that's won three in a row and six of its last seven. Jacob deGrom and Harvey stand in the way of A-Rod's pursuit of Willie Mays for fourth place on the all-time home run leaderboard, while Michael Pineda will look to stop the Mets from making history.

More bad blood on the way?
The division-rival White Sox and Royals kicked off a four-game set in the Windy City on Thursday with a bench-clearing brawl and 13-inning marathon. In the middle of the ruckus, again? Yordano Ventura. Suspensions are bound to be handed down by the league but not before the two teams resume their battle Friday. If we've learned anything from the Royals, it's that the hostilities could be far from over.

Greene Machine
Detroit Tigers right-hander Shane Greene has thrown 23 innings and allowed one run. He enters Friday's start against the Cleveland Indians with a major league-best 0.39 ERA, accompanying a sparkling 0.74 WHIP. Detroit has come away victorious in all three of his starts, but will be hard-pressed to do it a fourth time. Greene and the Tigers are up against Danny Salazar, the Indians' electric right-hander who's coming off a sensational season debut in which he averaged 96-plus mph on his fastball and punched out 10.
