American League Game Summary - Cleveland at Minnesota

Minneapolis, MN (SportsNetwork.com) - Trevor May tossed six solid innings, Torii Hunter hit a three-run homer and the Minnesota Twins handled the Cleveland Indians 7-2 in the rubber match of a three-game series.

May (1-1) allowed one run on four hits while striking out four and walking zero. The right-hander responded after giving up five runs and eight hits over 5 1/3 innings against the Royals on Monday.

Shane Robinson went 3-for-4 with two RBI and a run scored for the Twins, who went 4-2 on a six-game homestand. Eduardo Escobar and Oswaldo Arcia had one RBI apiece.

Carlos Santana hit a solo homer in the ninth for the Indians, who fell to 4-7 on the young season. T.J. House (0-2) gave up five runs on seven hits over 5 2/3 innings.

"I just couldn't catch my groove and carry it with me throughout the start," House said. "One inning I'd feel great and the next one I was all over the place. That was disappointing."

The Twins jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the second. Kennys Vargas walked, Trevor Plouffe doubled and Kurt Suzuki was hit by a pitch to load the bases with no outs. Arcia followed with a sacrifice fly and Escobar hit an RBI single to right-center field. Suzuki raced home when Robinson reached on Jose Ramirez's fielding error.

Cleveland got one run back in the third. With two outs, Michael Bourn, Jason Kipnis and Michael Brantley hit three straight singles to plate a run.

Minnesota went ahead 4-1 on Robinson's RBI single in the fourth.

Hunter's homer in the sixth turned the game into a rout. Robinson hit a two- out single before Anthony Swarzak replaced House. Brian Dozier walked prior to Hunter's blast to left.

"I'm just happy to get that home run out of the way, in a Twins uniform, at Target Field," Hunter said. "It was pretty cool to hit that home run. And we really needed those insurance runs."

Santana homered off J.R. Graham in the ninth.
