Prized power prospect Kris Bryant takes another swing at getting his first hit in the majors. The Cubs rookie went 0 for 4 with three strikeouts in his big league debut Friday. Chicago faces Tyson Ross and the Padres at Wrigley Field. ''I'll keep on keeping on and come out here tomorrow ready to go,'' Bryant said.
RINGS AND THINGS
The Giants will get their World Series rings before hosting Arizona at AT&T Park. Travis Ishikawa, who hit the home run that clinched the NL Championship Series, will be in uniform for the ceremonies. He's been rehabbing a back injury and will skip a road trip for Triple-A Sacramento. ''It will be good to have him here,'' manager Bruce Bochy said.

Watch early as Mets NL Rookie of the Year Jacob deGrom faces the Marlins for the first time since he struck out a record-tying eight straight batters to start the game Sept. 15 vs. Miami.
BOUNCE BACK?
Jordan Zimmermann finished fifth in the NL Cy Young voting last season, but the Washington ace began this year with a pedestrian performance. Tagged for eight runs in 2 1-3 innings at Boston in his first start, he'll face the Phillies.
TORII'S WORK LOAD
The Twins reunited with 39-year-old outfielder Torii Hunter this year, hoping he can mentor a young roster and provide some pop in the lineup. Manager Paul Molitor plans to rest Hunter at times, and he didn't play in Friday's 11-inning win over Cleveland. Hunter is expected to back in the lineup.
''I think it's important for a guy with his resume and track record to value his input,'' Molitor said. ''As long as we kind of know what each person is thinking. He's always open to it. I brought him over today and we talked about it. Let's figure out what's best for your body and the team and try to move forward.''
