Jose Reyes: (Ribs) Likely Suffered Small Fracture
Reyes is dealing with a small crack or fracture in his left rib area, and the Blue Jays should know by the end of Friday whether or not he'll require a stint on the 15-day disabled list, Sportsnet's Ben Nicholson-Smith reports.
Analysis:
At the very least, Reyes will miss a couple of games, and it won't be at all surprising if he requires a stint on the disabled list. Even if he doesn't, Reyes may end up playing with significant discomfort, which could lead to a more conservative approach on the basepaths. Should Toronto's star shortstop ultimately land on the DL, Steve Tolleson and Ryan Goins will pick up the at-bats.
