Jose Reyes: Exits With Soreness In Rib Area

Reyes was removed from Thursday's game against the Rays after the first inning due to soreness in his left rib area, Sportsnet's Mike Wilner reports.

Analysis:

Reyes seemingly suffered the injury while running to first base on a ground out in his only at-bat. He was replaced by Ryan Goins for the top of the second inning, but Steve Tolleson could also get some extra playing time at shortstop, if Reyes misses any games beyond Thursday. The Jays had already been planning to give Reyes his first off day of the season Saturday against the Braves.
