Gardner (wrist) underwent an MRI on Thursday, which confirmed his original diagnosis of a bone bruise.

Analysis:

X-rays on the wrist were negative, but the Yankees wanted to be completely sure that it wasn't anything more serious than a bone bruise and thus ordered the MRI.
