Texas Rangers prospect Joey Gallo will undergo an MRI on his left heel, according to Evan Grant of The Dallas Morning News.
Gallo, who has not played this week since experiencing soreness Monday, is booked to see foot specialist Dr. John Crates in Dallas on Wednesday.
The Rangers' top prospect had an impressive spring camp with the club, but was shipped to the minors more than a week ago to continue his development.
Gallo hit 42 home runs in the minors a year ago.
