Myers could see some time at first base during the regular season in addition to his regular role as the Padres' center fielder, Corey Brock of MLB.com reports.

Analysis:

Myers made an appearance at first on Sunday with Yonder Alonso out with an illness. His ability to play first occasionally would allow Cameron Maybin to see some time in center. Manager Bud Black said, "As far as being creative, Wil is one guy we can be creative with," according to Brock. Myers' primary position should continue to be in center field, but his versatility and past experience could net him some appearances at first.
