Rosscup pitched a scoreless inning Saturday and is in contention for one of the remaining spots in the Cubs' bullpen, Carrie Muskat of MLB.com reports.

Analysis:

The Cubs are expected to have seven pitchers in their bullpen, and with Hector Rondon, Pedro Strop, Neil Ramirez, Jason Motte, and either Travis Wood or Edwin Jackson already locked in, there are probably only two spots up for grabs. Rosscup is battling Drake Britton and Phil Coke for a spot from the left side. Coke probably has the inside track at this time, but he's not currently on the 40-man roster, so Rosscup, who has struck out nine and walked three in eight innings this spring, still has a good shot.
