Jesse Hahn: Expected To Start Second Game For A's

Hahn is expected to start the second game of the season for the A's, April 7 against the Rangers, Susan Slusser of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.

Analysis:

After tossing 5.1 innings of one-run ball against Texas on Friday, Hahn deemed himself "season ready." Despite an underwhelming 11:5 K:BB in 17.2 spring innings, Hahn has posted a 3.06 ERA so far in Cactus League play, and it sounds like he'll enter the year with a fairly secure rotation spot, slotting in even ahead of Scott Kazmir. However, after tossing 115.2 innings last year, it's entirely possible he could transition to the bullpen at some point down the line.
