Since the assignment is backdated to March 27, Colome will be able to return April 11, five games into the Rays' season. However, he wouldn't be guaranteed to make his return to the field then. Even with Rays' rotation injury woes, Colome isn't likely to be ready until a week or two after his return date, Topkin also reports.
