MLB Game Summary - Baltimore at Detroit

Lakeland, FL (SportsNetwork.com) - Victor Martinez's two-run, eighth-inning homer lifted the Detroit Tigers over the Baltimore Orioles, 6-4, Thursday in Grapefruit League action.

Miguel Cabrera also homered for the Tigers, who got seven strikeouts over 6 2/3 innings from starting pitcher David Price. The left-hander was charged with three runs on three hits.

Cabrera, who was serving as designated hitter until Wednesday, played first base on consecutive days for the first time this spring, while Martinez was in the lineup as the DH for the second straight day after missing time with a knee injury that required surgery.

Yoenis Cespedes added his third homer of the spring for the Tigers.

Chris Tillman started for the Orioles and surrendered two runs on five hits, striking out four and walking one, in 5 1/3 innings.

Jayson Nix homered and former Tiger Delmon Young drove in a pair of runs for Baltimore.
