Indians' Michael Brantley to sit a few days with back tightness

David Richard / USA TODAY Sports

Michael Brantley's back is bothering him, again.

The Cleveland Indians outfielder will miss a few games due to back tightness, according to manager Terry Francona.

It's the second time this spring Brantley has experienced discomfort in his back, so it makes sense for the club to give him some time off prior to the start of the regular season. Francona doesn't consider the injury to be serious, but it's something to monitor leading up to Opening Day.

The Indians are hoping Brantley can build on a breakout 2014 campaign, in which he slashed .327/.385/.506 with 20 home runs and 97 RBIs in 156 games.
