Analysis:

Vazquez has been dealing with elbow soreness of late, and the team still hasn't ruled out sending the catcher for an MRI. He caught a recent spring game, but was not permitted to throw to the bases. If Vazquez is limited in the early parts of the season, look for Ryan Hanigan to take on extra reps. Per Speier, Vazquez will catch a minor league game Friday, which will likely help determine the best course of action moving forward.
