Pelfrey may not get another start this spring, which could indicate he's fallen behind Tommy Milone and Trevor May in the battle for the fifth starter role, the Minneapolis Star Tribune reports. He is a candidate to be used in the bullpen if not in the rotation, Twins GM Terry Ryan told the St. Paul Pioneer Press.

Analysis:

Nothing is official, but it sounds like Pelfrey is headed to the bullpen and will work in long relief. The Twins had previously said he wasn't a candidate for the bullpen since it takes him time to get loose. He's had a strong spring with a 1.32 ERA and 7:2 K:BB ratio in 13.2 innings.
