Dozier signed a four-year, $20 million extensions with the Twins on Tuesday, the St. Paul Pioneer Press reports.
Analysis:
The deal runs through 2018, buying out Dozier's arbitration years. He'll get $2 million in 2015, $3 million in 2016, $6 million in 2017, and $9 million in 2018. The second baseman gets some security, while the Twins will save some money if he thrives over the next couple of years. Dozier mostly hit second in the lineup last season, but Twins manager Paul Molitor said he may bat his second baseman in the No. 3 hole this year.
