Lakeland, FL (SportsNetwork.com) - Zoilo Almonte scored the go-ahead run on a ninth-inning throwing error by Detroit's Dixon Machado, as the Atlanta Braves went on to defeat the Detroit Tigers, 6-4, in Grapefruit League action on Thursday.

Eury Perez also stole home during the two-run ninth inning for the Braves, who got two innings of one-run, three-hit ball from starter Julio Teheran.

J.D. Martinez went 3-for-3 with an RBI for the Tigers, who played without Yoenis Cespedes. He was scratched from the lineup due to lower back tightness.

Alfredo Simon started for Detroit and was perfect over two innings, striking out one.
