Choi was taken off the field on a cart during Wednesday's spring training game, Shannon Dryer of ESPN 710 AM reports.

Analysis:

Choi was reportedly making an attempt to save a bad throw when the injury occurred, and it appears to be serious. While the 23-year-old may not have cracked the big leagues this season, he spent most of 2014 in Triple-A, batting .283/.381/.392 with five home runs and 30 RBI. Choi was suspended 50 games last season for PED use, limiting him to just 70 total games at Triple-A, and while the injury hasn't been confirmed yet, he could lose a chunk of another season in the minors, this time to injury.
