Nick Castellanos took a pitch off of his left hand Tuesday and suffered a contusion.

Analysis:

Initially, it looked as though Castellanos could have suffered a tough break early in spring training, but X-rays came back negative, and the team is listing him as day-to-day. He could miss a few days with swelling in the hand, but it's not something that will hamper him in the long-term.
