Yoenis Cespedes likes what he's seeing from the Detroit Tigers this spring.

The outfielder is open to the possibility of signing a long-term contract extension with the club, he told reporters Sunday.

The Cuban believes the Tigers are one of the best teams in the majors, and is looking forward to learning from first baseman Miguel Cabrera.

Cespedes, who was acquired from the Boston Red Sox in an offseason trade, will make $10.5 million in 2015 and is set to become a free agent at season's end.

The 29-year-old has established himself as one of the top sluggers in the game by winning two Home Run Derby titles, and belting 71 home runs over his first three seasons in the United States.

The Tigers are Cespedes's third team as he enters his fourth season in the bigs.
