Jennings is not expected to serve as the Rays' leadoff hitter in 2015, Mark Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

Analysis:

The report indicated manager Kevin Cash was getting Jennings off the leadoff mentality, and suggested he may hit fifth or sixth in the lineup. It comes as no surprise given Jennings' .244/.319/.378 batting line in 2014. He was better against left-handed pitching, however, batting .265/.346/.487 and hitting half of his 10 home runs in just 117 at-bats against southpaws, so it's possible he will hold onto the leadoff spot against lefties.
