Analysis:

Perez set MLB records in both games caught and total innings last season, numbers that can be at least partially attributed to the team's surprising World Series run. His high usage is exactly what made Perez a valuable fantasy catcher, as rare days off allow owners to keep him in their lineup most days, something that is especially useful in leagues that allow daily lineup changes. On the other hand, keeping the legs of Perez fresh may help his offensive numbers, as fatigue may have been one of the reasons for a 170-point drop in OPS between the first and second half of 2014. Perez is still a top-10 fantasy catcher in most formats, with a ton of upside that hinges on the 24-year-old improving his plate discipline. However, the days where fantasy owners can expect 140-145 games caught may soon be winding down.
