Mets' Duda slowed by sore oblique, won't swing for a few days

New York Mets first baseman Lucas Duda (oblique) recently had a cortisone shot, and he has not been swinging a bat for the past couple of weeks, Newsday's Marc Carig reports.

Analysis:

Initial reports merely said that Duda would take a few days off from swinging, but the update makes his oblique issue sound a bit more serious. It's still something the Mets hope can be fixed with a bit of rest.
