Hudson (ankle) worked out on a back field Sunday and is reportedly recovering well after having ankle surgery in January, CSN Bay Area reports.

Analysis:

Hudson had to have bone spurs removed from his right ankle in January and was contemplating retirement. However, manager Bruce Bochy stated that Hudson is recovering well and "should be on a mound here soon." Being a veteran, he wouldn't need much spring training work to get ready for the season, and indications are that he will be ready for Opening Day after all.
