Tanner Roark: Will Work As Starter This Spring

Roark will work as a starter during spring training, Mark Zuckerman of CSN Washington reports.

Analysis:

Manager Matt Williams spoke with the media Saturday and insisted that he still has no idea how he will line up the starting rotation to begin the regular season. After the Nationals signed Max Scherzer, it was thought Roark would be squeezed out of the starting mix, but he will remain stretched out for now and the team will wait to make a decision on his role until later in the spring. Williams said he thinks Roark's stuff would play well in short spurts too.
