Jimenez was DFA'd to make room on the 40-man roster for Chad Billingsley, who the Phillies signed to a one-year contract Thursday. Jimenez only made 16 of his 56 appearances in the majors last season, and while he posted a 1.69 ERA, his 8:7 K:BB was far from encouraging. At best, he'll land a spot at the back of Philadelphia's bullpen.
