The Toronto Blue Jays will reportedly invite veteran infielder Ramon Santiago to spring training next month after agreeing Thursday to a minor league deal with the 35-year-old, according to Sportsnet's Shi Davidi.

Santiago has logged considerable innings at shortstop, third base and second base throughout his 13-year career in the majors, but will compete for consideration at second base along with Maicer Izturis, Ryan Goins and prospect Devon Travis.

Santiago spent the 2014 campaign with the Cincinnati Reds after an eight-year stint with the Detroit Tigers, hitting .246/.343/.324 with two home runs and an 11.2 percent walk rate over 75 games.
