Napoli (toe) said Saturday that he expects to be ready for Opening Day, Pete Abraham of the Boston Globe reports.

Analysis:

The 33-year-old underwent surgery in November to address his sleep apnea, a condition which wore him down last season to the point where he had to leave a lot of games late. In fact, the condition got so bad that he even contemplated retirement. Doctors prescribed him a liquid diet for six weeks following the procedure, and he still doesn't have feeling in parts of his face and lips. However, Napoli was able to begin his offseason workouts more than two weeks ago, and he's reportedly regained all the weight he lost while on the liquid diet.
