Minor (shoulder) didn't experience any discomfort while playing catch this week, MLB.com's Mark Bowman reports.

Analysis:

Minor is expected to get in some work off the mound in the near future and should be well on his way to being fully healthy before the beginning of spring training. The Braves shut him down late last season due to concerns about him experiencing shoulder discomfort, but it was mostly a precautionary measure. Even though he was able to make 25 starts last season, it's fair to wonder if Minor was pitching through injury for much of the campaign, as he saw a sizable uptick in his home-run rate en route to a career-worst 4.77 ERA. The Braves will be counting on him for a bounce back in 2015, likely as the No. 4 starter in their rotation.
