Profar is expected to play catch from 60 feet out Monday before undergoing an MRI on his injured shoulder, Anthony Andro of FOX Sports Southwest reports.

Analysis:

Profar played catch Tuesday at 45 feet, marking his first time throwing this offseason, and will do so again Friday before extending his toss out to 60 feet. The Rangers will then send Profar for an MRI, as they understandably want to keep close tabs on his progress after the 21-year-old's entire 2014 season was lost to the injury. GM Jon Daniels has already said that he does not expect Profar to make the Opening Day roster.
