Gallardo is expected to be traded to the Rangers, the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.
Analysis:
Although the deal isn't official, it is believed to be on the verge of becoming the case. What the Brewers will be getting in return for the 29-year-old is still unknown, but the Rangers will add another veteran arm to their starting rotation. Gallardo is set to make $13 million in 2015, coming off a season in which he finished with a 8-11 record, posting a 3.51 ERA and 1.30 WHIP, and striking out 146 over 192.1 innings. He is set to become a free agent following the 2015 season, but the Rangers could attempt to extend his contract during the season if the trade does come to fruition.
