The Philadelphia Phillies and left-hander Wandy Rodriguez have agreed to a minor-league contract, reports CSNPhilly.com.
The deal is pending a physical.
News broke the two sides were nearing an agreement (see stack below) on Friday, and that Rodriguez was en route to Philadelphia to complete a physical to finalize a deal.
The 35-year-old has appeared in only 18 games over the past two seasons due to various injuries. Rodriguez could slot into the back of the rotation, if he can remain healthy.
Rodriguez is 91-94 with a 4.06 ERA and 1.33 WHIP over his 10-year career. His most impressive campaign was in 2009 with the Houston Astros when he won 14 games and posted a 3.02 ERA.
