Analysis:

The 20-year-old Peterson hit a meager .233/.274/.361 over 563 plate appearances at Low-A Fort Wayne last season, but is still regarded as a bat-first third base prospect. His offensive struggles could earn him a repeat trip at the Low-A level in 2015, likely delaying his arrival to the majors for at least two more seasons. Along with Peterson, lefty starter Max Fried, shortstop Jace Peterson and outfielder Mallex Smith will head to Atlanta.
