There's still one more chance to watch Derek Jeter swing a bat - provided baseball fans are willing to travel to Japan to do it.

The retired New York Yankees shortstop will host a charity event with former teammate Hideki Matsui, according to Jim Armstrong of the Associated Press.

Jeter and Matsui, the 2009 World Series MVP, will hold a baseball clinic and compete against each other in a home run derby at Tokyo Dome on March 21.

The event will be held to benefit children affected by the 2011 earthquake and tsunami.

"(Derek) will make an enormous contribution to this event," Matsui said at a press conference Thursday. "He is a tremendous human being and was a great teammate and I'm sure the kids will be thrilled to see someone of his stature."

The 600 participants signed up for the event also include several baseball players from the Tohoku region affected by the disaster.
