Report: Giants agree to 2-year, $15-million deal with Sergio Romo

Sergio Romo is back where he wanted to be all along.

The San Francisco Giants and the reliever agreed to a two-year, $15-million deal Wednesday, reuniting the two sides, according to Ken Rosenthal of FOX Sports

Despite losing the closer's role to Santiago Casilla last season, Romo returns to the team he's spent his entire seven-year career with after testing free agency for the first time.

At the conclusion of last season, Romo stated that his goal was to re-sign with the Giants - the team he's won three World Series championships with.

The 31-year-old appeared in 64 games last season, posting a 3.72 ERA and 0.94 WHIP. Romo also struck out 59 batters in 58 innings while walking 12.

An All-Star in 2013, Romo has been one of the top relievers over the past five seaons. In 143 appearances, he owns a 2.38 ERA, 0.92 WHIP and 6.04 strikeout-to-walk ratio.
