Bud Selig's tenure as commissioner of Major League Baseball is set to end in just a few weeks, and the team he founded more than 40 years ago revealed Monday their plans to commemorate the 80-year-old's life in baseball.

Founded by Selig's ownership group in 1970, the Milwaukee Brewers will host an interactive exhibit at Miller Park in 2015 - the aptly named "Selig Experience" - that chronicles Selig's exploits as Brewers owner and, eventually, MLB commissioner.

"I'm grateful, because what if I'd failed?" Selig told MLB.com's Adam McCalvy. "None of us would be here today. None of this would ever happen. You think of all the lives impacted, and I'm just grateful to be a part of it."

The exhibit will be free to fans and is expected to be unveiled in May or June, while the Brewers intend to retire No. 1 in honor of Selig, who is a Milwaukee native.

"Because of him, we are here," Brewers COO Rick Schlesinger said. "I just thought it was a great story. ... There's great highs, great lows, and there's one constant - the Commissioner who refused to be beaten."
