Analysis:

General manager Dave Stewart named Webster, along with Josh Collmenter, Jeremy Hellickson and Ruby De La Rosa as four pitchers that would be assured a spot in the rotation as things currently stand. This is a major boost for Webster's offseason value, as his role for 2015 with Arizona was not this clear after he was traded from Boston earlier in the week. He posted a 5.03 ERA (4.35 FIP) in 11 starts for the Red Sox last season, but he won't turn 25 until February and still projects as a solid No. 4 starter if everything comes together.
