Brewers to give Lucroy more reps at first base in Spring Training

In an effort to make Jonathan Lucroy more comfortable at the position, the Milwaukee Brewers plan to give the All-Star catcher more experience at first base this spring.

"In spring training, the idea is to let Luc do it a little bit more so when we get into the season we're not uncomfortable with putting him over there too much," manager Ron Roenicke told Tom Haudricourt of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel

"Knowing what he can do offensively and trying to make sure when we put him over there that he has enough experience and he's comfortable enough that he won't get hurt, that makes the move a lot easier for me."

Lucroy appeared at first base in 19 of 153 games in 2014, but could see additional time at the position this season when Adam Lind sits against left-handers.
