Kintzler (knee) signed a one-year contract with the Brewers on Tuesday, avoiding arbitration, Adam McCalvy of MLB.com reports.
Analysis:
Kintzler battled neck, shoulder and knee issues last season, with surgery needed in September to repair a left patella issue that had bothered him for close to two years, but the right-hander performed admirably when healthy. He posted a 3.24 ERA and 1.33 WHIP over 58.1 innings, and will likely work in the middle innings again in 2015.
