Strop required stitches in his left elbow following a car accident in the Dominican Republic on Thursday night, Eduardo Encina of the Baltimore Sun reports.

Analysis:

Strop underwent X-rays but they came back negative, and the resulting injuries were relatively minor and shouldn't cause him to miss any time in 2015. He was a big part of the Cubs' bullpen in 2014, serving largely as the setup man for Hector Rondon. The 29-year-old posted a 2.21 ERA and 1.07 WHIP with 71 strikeouts in 61 innings last season, and should serve in a similar role in 2015.
