The Los Angeles Dodgers traded infielder Ryan Jackson to the Kansas City Royals for cash, the team announced Wednesday.
Jackson missed most of 2014 due to a wrist injury, but hit .278 with a .352 on-base percentage at Triple-A El Paso (San Diego Padres' affiliate) in his last full season in the minor leagues.
Jackson, 24, was originally a fifth-round selection of the St. Louis Cardinals in the 2009 draft.
