Former St. Louis pitcher Ray Sadecki, who enjoyed 18 years of Major League Baseball, died on Nov. 17 at the age of 73.

His cause of death is reported as a complication of blood cancer, according to The New York Times's William Yardley. He passed away in Mesa, Ariz.

Sadecki made it to the show at the ripe age of 19, starting 26 games for the Cardinals in 1960.

Despite spending time with the San Francisco Giants, the New York Mets and the Kansas City Royals, the left-hander found glory with the St. Louis Cardinals.

He went 20-11 off the mound with a 3.69 ERA in 1964.  That year, he led the Cardinals to a seven-game World Series win over the New York Yankees, in which he earned the win in game one.
