Report: Rays fielding trade offers for Matt Joyce
Rick Osentoski / USA TODAY Sports
The Tampa Bay Rays are reportedly not finished wheeling and dealing this offseason.
Joyce is projected to make $4.89 million in arbitration, which is steep for the low-budget Rays.
Tampa Bay dealt reliever Joel Peralta to the Los Angeles Dodgers early Friday morning in an attempt to shed salary.
Joyce, who can play both corner outfield spots, hit .254 with nine home runs and 52 RBIs for the offensively-challenged Rays last season.
