SEATTLE - The Seattle Mariners have claimed left-handed pitcher Edgar Olmos off waivers from the Miami Marlins and added three others to their 40-man roster.

Seattle made the roster moves on Thursday. The Mariners selected right-handed pitcher Mayckol Guaipe, catcher John Hicks, and infielder Ketel Marte to their major league roster, giving Seattle 39 players on its 40-man roster.

Olmos, 24, pitched at Double- and Triple-A last season in the Marlins organization. He appeared in five games for Miami late in the 2013 season.

Guaipe, 24, spent the 2014 season at Double-A Jackson and made 40 relief appearances. Hicks, 25, split last season between Jackson and Triple-A Tacoma, hitting .290 with five homers and 47 RBIs in 81 games.

Marte, 21, was a Southern League All-Star after hitting .302 at Jackson before a late promotion to Tacoma. Marte was third among all Seattle minor leaguers in batting average and hits.
