The Miami Marlins remained busy addressing offseason needs Wednesday, reportedly agreeing to terms with free-agent Reid Brignac.

Miami signed the utility infielder to a minor-league contract, according to Jon Heyman of CBS Sports

Brignac, 28, appeared in 37 games last year for the Philadelphia Phillies, hitting .222/.300/.346 with six extra-base hits.

The seven-year veteran has mostly played a reserve role during his career. Brignac's best season came in 2010 when he hit eight homers and 13 doubles in 113 games for the Tampa Bay Rays.

Earlier in the day the Marlins officially announced Giancarlo Stanton's record-breaking 13-year, $325-million contract and reportedly extended an offer to free-agent first baseman Adam LaRoche.
