Analysis:
Avila suffered a concussion in Game 3 of the ALDS against the Orioles, and there was initially questions whether he would return given it was his third of the season. He announced in mid-October that he was symptom free and was returning, and now it appears his return will come with the Tigers. The 27-year-old had a down season in 2014, batting .218/.327/.359 with 11 home runs and 47 RBI.
