Beliveau retired all four batters he faced in relief, including three by way of strikeout, before he was removed from the game with one out in the eighth inning.
The 27-year-old reliever pitched to a 2.63 ERA with 28 strikeouts in 24 innings for the Rays in 2014.
Japan pitchers combined to no-hit MLB and clinch the five-game series with a 4-0 win Saturday. Samurai Japan, the country's national team, has won all three games thus far by a total score of 14-4.
